Parmi eux Cha\u00efm Soutine illustre fort bien ce courant \u00e9tranger \u00e0 la fois \u00e9trange et qui d\u00e9range. Il est russe et juif, et son oeuvre picturale pour le moins singuli\u00e8re reste un questionnement. Y a-t-il un lien entre ces deux qualificatifs \u00ab \u00e9trange-\u00e9tranger \u00bb reprenant le po\u00e8me de Pr\u00e9vert ? \u00c0 l\u2019instar de Dionysos, le dieu grec repr\u00e9sentant l\u2019alt\u00e9rit\u00e9 divine, l\u2019\u00e9tranger par excellence, celui qui est diff\u00e9rent donc \u00e9trange, Soutine instaure aussi un espace de transgression qui condense ces deux termes. Ses portraits, natures mortes et surtout ses paysages sont \u00e9tranges et atypiques.
