C\u2019est un v\u00e9ritable choc que j&rsquo;ai \u00e9prouv\u00e9 devant la crudit\u00e9 et la violence de certains tableaux, en particulier cette oeuvre r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9e six fois dans l\u2019exposition : Judith avec sa servante Abra d\u00e9capitant Holopheme.<br>J&rsquo;avais d\u00e9couvert Art\u00e9misia gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sentation de Marthe Coppel au s\u00e9minaire Babylone il y a quelques ann\u00e9es. Beaucoup d\u2019encre a coul\u00e9 sur le sujet et je vais tenter d\u2019apporter ma contribution personnelle. Je me suis plong\u00e9e dans les Actes de son proc\u00e8s pour viol, plus conforme \u00e0 la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 que le roman d\u2019Alexandra Lapierre pourtant tr\u00e8s bien document\u00e9 avec des archives ou que le film d\u00e9lirant d\u2019Agn\u00e8s Merlet.<br>J\u2019\u00e9tudierai cette \u0153uvre (peinte aussi par son p\u00e8re Orazio Gentileschi, peintre caravagesque, et par le Caravage, peintre assassin\u2026) avant le viol, la virginit\u00e9 ravie, \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re des \u00e9l\u00e9ments biographiques que nous poss\u00e9dons.<br>Ensuite la transformation de l&rsquo;\u0153uvre apr\u00e8s le ravissement de la virginit\u00e9, puis son mariage avec un florentin et enfin apr\u00e8s avoir renou\u00e9 avec son p\u00e8re et \u00e0 la suite de son d\u00e9c\u00e8s.<br>La r\u00e9p\u00e9tition d\u2019\u0153uvre signe le plus souvent l\u2019existence d&rsquo;un trauma dans la vie de son cr\u00e9ateur, ici un viol.
