Elle,n\u2019est pas sans avoir un c\u00f4t\u00e9 paradoxal. Le mythe, en effet, a vocation \u00e0 structurer l&rsquo;imaginaire d\u2019une collectivit\u00e9 et ne s\u2019applique a priori pas \u00e0 l\u2019individu. Or, dans l\u2019usage qui en est fait, il s\u2019agit bien de d\u00e9signer des \u0153uvres d\u2019art jug\u00e9es enti\u00e8rement singuli\u00e8res. Ainsi Szeemann utilise le terme en 1972 \u00e0 la Dokumenta 5 de Kassel pour englober toute une section d&rsquo;\u0153uvres d&rsquo;artistes de l&rsquo;\u00e9poque et issues du contexte asilaire. Cette acception, loin d&rsquo;\u00eatre unique, trouve des \u00e9chos ult\u00e9rieurs dans tous les r\u00e9cits de l&rsquo;intime et du moi priv\u00e9 qui se d\u00e9ploient dans l&rsquo;art contemporain. Comment comprendre, \u00e0 cet \u00e9gard, la persistance de la notion de mythe ? Faut-il y voir un sympt\u00f4me de l&rsquo;\u00e9poque de la fin des grands r\u00e9cits ?<br>La proposition de cette intervention est issue d&rsquo;un travail de s\u00e9minaire qui s&rsquo;est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 au LaM (Lille M\u00e9tropole, Mus\u00e9e d&rsquo;art moderne, d\u2019art contemporain et d\u2019art brut) et qui a donn\u00e9 lieu \u00e0 une publication collective.
