Il est r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement employ\u00e9 pour \u00e9voquer une force, la manifestation d\u2019une volont\u00e9 ou une capacit\u00e9 d\u2019opposition appr\u00e9ci\u00e9e.<br>De fa\u00e7on plus inattendue, la r\u00e9sistance a \u00e9t\u00e9 consid\u00e9r\u00e9e par deux philosophes, \u00e0 deux si\u00e8cles d\u2019\u00e9cart, comme condition de la conscience de soi.<br>Tout d\u2019abord par Maine de Biran, qui \u00e9labora au XVIIIe si\u00e8cle un trait\u00e9 de psychologie, et r\u00e9cemment par Michel Henry, philosophe et ph\u00e9nom\u00e9nologue contemporain, qui en reprit les intuitions essentielles pour \u00e9tablir une ontologie originale du sujet consid\u00e9r\u00e9 alors comme corps subjectif.<br>Si l\u2019\u0153uvre de Michel Henry d\u00e9borde assez largement la construction biranienne, la notion de r\u00e9sistance y demeure essentielle. Elle est la condition du fait primitif, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire de la saisie du moi par lui-m\u00eame, sur le mode de l\u2019immanence. Cette auto-affection du moi se produit dans le moment de l\u2019effort voulu, dans et par la r\u00e9sistance au mouvement.<br>Or, qu\u2019il s\u2019agisse de la r\u00e9sistance rencontr\u00e9e \u00e0 m\u00eame l\u2019inertie du corps propre ou de la r\u00e9sistance manifest\u00e9e depuis le r\u00e9el transcendant, de ces deux modalit\u00e9s du continu r\u00e9sistant se d\u00e9gage le corps subjectif, \u00e9gal au moi, capable d\u2019un monde dont les cat\u00e9gories \u2014 la causalit\u00e9, l\u2019identit\u00e9, la substance\u2026 \u2014 sont comprises \u00e0 m\u00eame le corps engag\u00e9 dans l\u2019effort, \u00e0 m\u00eame le moi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La pertinence de cette approche radicale de la subjectivit\u00e9 peut se retrouver dans l\u2019analyse ph\u00e9nom\u00e9nologique des vertus de l\u2019\u00e9treinte, et pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment du holding, lequel offre au mouvement spontan\u00e9 un jeu de r\u00e9sistance anim\u00e9e.
