Face au traumatisme, il \u00e9tait n\u00e9cessaire de mettre en place un appareil psychique groupal, une enveloppe qui fait tenir l\u2019ensemble du groupe (Anzieu, 1975) pour assurer un m\u00e9ta-cadre de remplacement (Ka\u00ebs, 1988).<br>En modelant les contours d\u2019un objet, en respectant une consigne et en se limitant \u00e0 l\u2019espace de cr\u00e9ation, les participants ont pu progressivement reconstituer et renforcer les limites de leur propre identit\u00e9. L\u2019atelier a \u00e9t\u00e9 un espace transitionnel (Winnicott, 1975), un lieu d\u2019\u00e9laboration de leurs exp\u00e9riences traumatiques et un cadre structurant favorisant la pens\u00e9e.<br>L\u2019argile, en tant que mat\u00e9riau mall\u00e9able (Roussillon, 2010), a \u00e9t\u00e9 un outil pour red\u00e9finir les limites personnelles. Il a jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le essentiel en tant qu\u2019agent liant et consolidant pour le soi qui avait \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9branl\u00e9 et fragment\u00e9. Une fronti\u00e8re contenante, une deuxi\u00e8me peau (Anzieu, 1984) d\u00e9limitant le monde int\u00e9rieur et les prot\u00e9geant contre les influences du monde ext\u00e9rieur.
