Goethe, dans son Faust, a traduit : \u00ab au commencement \u00e9tait l\u2019action \u00bb. Or, pour l&rsquo;homme qui na\u00eet, pour l\u2019enfant, au commencement est le jeu. Par la suite, pour l\u2019\u00eatre humain qui joue, le jeu signifie plaisir, activit\u00e9 inutile, de luxe, qui s&rsquo;oppose \u00e0 ce qui est grave, s\u00e9rieux. Et c\u2019est vrai que la vie n\u2019est pas souvent un jeu.<br>Pourtant, l&rsquo;enfant qui doit affronter la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 d\u00e8s les premiers instants de son existence ne joue pas, il lutte. Face au biberon, sous le gant de toilette, en subissant l&rsquo;enfilage des manches et des jambes des habits, il ne s&rsquo;amuse pas. M\u00eame ce que l&rsquo;on appelle les jouets, ces objets qui roulent, qui tombent, qui se cassent lui font plein de mis\u00e8res. L&rsquo;enfant doit attendre qu&rsquo;il ait acquis la ma\u00eetrise des gestes pour prendre le dessus.
