Il lui semble qu\u2019au niveau auquel il entend se placer, celui des caract\u00e9ristiques formelles des \u0153uvres, son apport est pour ainsi dire nul. PRINZHORN reproche aux travaux psychanalytiques de m\u00e9conna\u00eetre la sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9 des \u0153uvres en tant qu\u2019objets mis en forme, et de s\u2019en \u00e9loigner en voulant y retrouver le v\u00e9cu de la personne priv\u00e9e du cr\u00e9ateur. Il ne reconna\u00eet pas moins le bien fond\u00e9 d\u2019une \u00e9lucidation psychologique et l\u2019enracinement de son \u00e9tude dans une interrogation m\u00e9taphysique. De m\u00eame ult\u00e9rieurement, comme le note Viktor von WEIZS\u00c0CKER (1955) dans ses m\u00e9moires, le psychoth\u00e9rapeute qu\u2019est devenu PRINZHORN, verra surtout dans sa discipline un moyen d\u2019\u00e9lucider la grande question de l\u2019\u00e9poque (\u201cZeitfrage\u201d) que von WEIZS\u00c0CKER \u00e9nonce ainsi : \u201cO\u00f9 en est l\u2019homme ?
